What to Expect

Attire:

The attire for this event is Semi-Formal,

Knee-length dress, or slacks and blouse for women. 

Coat or tie is recommended for men.

All guests are encouraged to wear colors resembling fall, or autumn, such as:

Muted Blues, Orange, Browns, Muted Yellow, Purples, Black, Burgandy & Red

 

The Bride and Groom request that no Jeans or Shorts be worn, if these items are worn, you will be asked to leave. Please remember that this event will be held in North Carolina in the Fall. Attire for a changing weather forecast from morning to evening may need to be considered.

Women should not wear white. 

Men should not wear green.

Photography:

Wonderful photographers have been hired to capture this event, photographs during the ceremony will not be allowed. Photography during the reception is acceptable but should not distract from the evening...NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY.

​

Social Media Sharing:

The couple appreciates your excitement for them during this time. However, the Bride and Groom ask that no photos, videos, or posts be shared on social media until the couple has shared photos from their special day.

Cell Phone Usage:

Please no cell phone use in any form is acceptable during the ceremony, please limit cell phone usage during the reception. No videos please. 

​

Plus Ones: 

Your invite will list the individual's names that are invited to attend. Last-minute additions of guests will not be appreciated and may require your overall vacancy from the events. 

​

Parking:

Ceremony - Parking at Concord Methodist Church is free, and ample parking, is available. Accessible parking is also available, as well as ramps to the building.

 

Reception- Parking for the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel is located in two location:

Valet: at the front of the Hotel &

Church Street Parking Deck located at 455 N Church Street, Winston-Salem. 

However, it is encouraged for guests to utilize the parking garage listed above.

Religious Component:

The Bride and Groom understand that not all views and expression of Christianity are the view of all. It is not their intent to make anyone uncomfortable, call anyone out, or disrespect someone for their beliefs. With this in mind, prayer, worship, scripture and other elements of Christianity will be featured.

​

Meal:

While the Bride and Groom do plan to address any dietary restrictions with the cater please ensure your own awareness of the foods you consume. 

Specific meals for those that are Vegan will be available.

This event will also feature a Nut Free Menu.

​

Alcohol:

The Bride and Groom love their spirits and while this event features an Open Bar, guests will be encouraged to choose between three cocktails,

(Other options may be limited, please no outside alcohol, disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.)

A Day of Coordinator is assisting the Bride and Groom to ensure for the careful execution of the days events, please direct any comments, questions or concerns to this individual, the Groomsmen or Maid of Honor.

The couple asks that all guests enjoy the event while remembering that this day is hosted with a focus on the Bride and Groom. 

​

 The Bride and Groom pride themselves on focusing on the positives and seeing the best in all. No negativity, including negative comments towards other guests, the event or its elements will be tolerated.
